15th June 2015 marks the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta, the “Great Charter” that established the rule of law for the English-speaking world. Though it has always been a bigger deal in the US than in Britain, its revolutionary impact still resounds today in more ways than one, writes Daniel Hannan.
